This is My Awesome Introduction Post 😉

This is My Awesome Introduction Post 😉

The above picture is of me right before a trip to Disneyland. Yes, I am a 51-year-old child. I love going places like Disneyland, SeaWorld, San Diego Comic-Con, and many other fun places. My background is Military, IT, and Retail. I know that is a rushed resume, to say the least, but those details are unimportant and from a lifelong past.

Just in case you are curious here are some details. While I was enjoying a post-military career in IT (Information Technology) building computers and networking them, troubleshooting, and what not. Went to the Doctor for a small abdominal protrusion. That is right something was poking through my tummy.

Initially, the Doc thought it to be a hernia but to be safe ordered a CAT Scan because there were no other indicators of a hernia. That poor Doc came back as white as a sheet. He had trouble meeting my gaze. After he delivered the news I had to console him. This ended my career in IT. Nobody tells you about Chemo Brain until it is too late.

Before you feel sorry for me I have lived with this cancer for about a decade, with no sign of me checking out anytime soon. This did bring me back to California where I started a kind of new career in Retail. Was hired at the local Walmart as an accounting associate. I have never counted so much money. Yes, before Walmart started using the Cash Machines to store, count, and dispense money to fund the store, we did it all by hand, how crazy is that lol.

The Internet Cash Cow

I remember back in 2006 was out of the military, repairing computers in my own shop, and trying to figure out the internet cash cow. It seemed like every article I read was about someone making it big on the internet. I am the kind of guy that does not learn about something until it is too late. I missed every fad you can think of.

This brings us back to 2015, I am in California appreciating the weather working at Walmart yearning for more time on these beautiful beaches. Wanting to go to the theme parks I mentioned earlier, but I had no time and no money. IT is sad living less than an hour from Disneyland but not being able to go. This was life on a retail income.

I dedicated all of my off time to researching ways of making money online. Wow, there was a lot to learn and still is. All of my searchings brought me to eBay. First I tried dropshipping which did yield some positive results, but it was stressful. Then I went through my house and rounded up anything that still worked, and looked good, and started taking pictures and listed it all on eBay. With that money, I went to garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, and storage auctions. When my eBay income equaled my Wal-mart income I quit Wal-mart and started reselling full time.

How Did I Find HIVE?

I found affiliate marketing in my research efforts to discover the different ways to render money from the internet. This brought me to Jon G Olson or @jongolson of @ctptalk. Jon is very different from the other internet marketing gurus. Jon’s advice never put me in Facebook jail like some of those other posers. Jon Olson was the first person I ever heard preach get people to “Know, Like, & Trust You” Those simple few words have and will continue to spawn volumes of books.

Following Jon’s brilliant marketing advice, has brought me to the blockchain and Hive. I am very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community 😍. I would also like to thank @lovesniper @indayclara for instructing me to introduce myself to the community, apologizing for that faux pas, and giving me some wonderful Hive resources.

OMG Do I Ever Love Splinterlands

Even though I am a newb the income potential of Splinterlands keeps screaming in my face. Jon is also quite vocal about the income opportunities. Do not get me wrong, I know it is a game with its initial purpose intended to entertain. Every time I play when I am rewarded new cards, and the time just slips away. I know there is a business somewhere.

As we speak, upper-level players are making serious money every day just by renting out their cards. I am not but they are. I only currently own a few cards. What if I could just make blockchain gaming my full-time income. That would be so cool, “Hello my name is Chris I am a professional blockchain gamer” that sounds really cool.

Going forward I am attempting to turn my Splinmterlands gaming hobby into a full-blown business. Let’s say our goal for a full-time business is $100 a day in income, part-time $50 a day in income, and anything less than that is just a hobby. Currently, by my own standards, I am a Splinterlands Hobbyist working hard on becoming a Splinterlands Business.

Your comments, questions, and helpful hints are very welcome.

What I Learned In 2021

What I Learned In 2021

WTF Is A BlockChain?!?!

When all of your friends are talking about building their fortunes on the blockchain the pressure of FOMO just builds to an unacceptable point. I have heard of blogging on BlockChain since December of 2020 but did not join Hive until February of 2021. Fast-acting like a turtle. I am not really an early adopter which is why I was so surprised to find that it is still early to be on the Hive BlockChain.

Missing out on opportunities is the worst, as it gives us a lot of “What Could Have Been” that kind of thinking will make a person crazy. The word Blockchain was being thrown around like people were getting paid to talk about it, later I find they were and are, me included and anyone reading this as well.

I am sure everyone reading this knows what a blockchain is, and does not need my basic, and I mean basic definition of a blockchain. Keep in mind the Hive Blockchain is the only one that I have experience with. I am not a person that has branched out to other blockchains as my hands have been pretty full with Hive.

It Pays To Be Active Daily

This is crazy, back in October I tried my hand at the CTP 30 Day Content Challenge. The challenge was to blog on Hive once daily for 30 days straight. This had me rework my entire workday, oh did I mention I am self-employed and work from home?

Blain Jones really challenged me with this concept. Write at least 1 article a day every day. IT sounds so super easy, I mean as affiliate marketers content is king so we should be publishing daily to sell daily. I need to add I am a crap affiliate marketer but have a nice living because I am an awesome reseller. Reselling feeds us, pays the rent, and the bills, everything else is pretty much at the “it needs more work level.”

This being said I really had to work at publishing something once daily. Blain was not asking for any great literary or journalistic work. Just a few paragraphs about our daily business-building journey. I overthought the heck out of it. The challenge did teach me that if I publish daily I will get paid daily. Not pennies but Dollars and some of those posts yielded almost $20(to be fair this was not normal just a few posts like 3 or 4 had a reward like that)

The story does not end with daily publishing as my Hive activities became more complicated as I added more things to it, among them seriously curating and commenting over 100 posts a week. As I write this I have been a bit behind because of the holidays. That being said doing that many comments weekly has resulted in some nice Hive, HBD, CTP, 1UP tokens just to name a few as there are a lot of different tokens that just sprinkle into my HE Wallet as rewards for commenting and curating.

When You Retire Your Wife…

Due to the reselling business doing so well, my wife and I looked over our finances and decided it was time for her to end a 26-year career with Walmart. For the first time in her adult life, my wife Anmarie has her whole day ahead of her to do with as she wills for the rest of her life.

I am lucky she takes a portion of her day and helps me out. Anmarie also scheduled the heck out of our Holiday Season as far out as January 13th. That is the last of the holiday celebrations and going off with a bang at Disneyland for 3 days. Being the type of entrepreneur that is accustomed to working from before the sunrises into the night 6 to 7 days a week, this makes me uneasy.

The good news is that I have been experimenting with different types of automation and working remotely. You may not even see an interruption in my activities if I can just get everything to work together. Lately, I can’t even get images to appear when using Hive-Engine Dapps on any of my browsers, this happened once before for about a week and then the problem just went away.

To Be Continued…

This article is much bigger in scope than I had first imagined. The more I write the more that needs to be said. I know when watching a show or movie we hate to see to be continued. Sorry, but I learned so much last year.

Decreased Income by 22%

Decreased Income by 22%

Even though I removed all of my excuses. Even though I weeded out non-income producing activities. Even though I worked my schedule down to a mean lean machine. Profits for 4th quarter are down. Sales are down. Everything is down. This has led me to ask what in the world am I doing wrong.

It Is So Confusing

Image Made With Canva

This is the mistake that I am making. Reselling makes up about 70% of my total income. Logically I should prioritize this type of activity as most important. I did not. Things that are new and have a learning curve tend to take priority. I come to find this is normal behavior. They call it “Shiny Object Syndrome” Reselling is something I have done for years. It has become comfortable. When something new comes along it is always more interesting than the same old thing.

First, it was affiliate marketing, learned some new skills, made some new relationships, made some money. Of course, there was a schedule to follow, and it is a pretty full schedule. That is going okay, but a lot more labor-intensive than I could ever imagine. Also ever notice how everyone is screaming about passion but hardly anyone is following their passion. This is the great hypocrisy of affiliate marketing.

Now it is the Hive BlockChain. There is a lot to learn. An investment strategy and a daily schedule that demands consistency. Then again all industries demand consistency. The Hive BlockChain with all of its different activities, even gaming. All of the activities generate income.

I Created My Own Rat Race

Image Created With Canva

Reselling by itself is a full-time 10 hours a day, job. Then I added affiliate marketing (very hands-on). Those two things alone are enough to keep anyone busy for 12 hours a day, easy. Then I add the Hive BlockChain because it seemed like a good idea to get into crypto.

I traded in a regular job for a lifestyle of independence and financial freedom. Unfortunately, without focus and dedication, these businesses will eventually die. The reason why my profits are down is that I am taking time away from reselling to give to the other two activities. With the training schedule and the content creation, order packing, sourcing, zoom calls, I am running around like a crazy person chasing a dragon that will never be caught.

Control of My Schedule Must Be Managed

Hive BlockChain is on Greenwich Mean Time GMT, this is the time zone that London England is on. Midnight GMT is 4pm my time Pacific Standard Time PST. This is a huge clue as to when I should start my Hive activities. This 4pm daily deadline has me running around and trying to fuss with my daily schedule to make everything work.

That being said I should work my reselling business from early morning until the afternoon, normally around 1 or 2 pm. Then I will have 2 or 3 hours for affiliate marketing. This will be pretty much standard daily practice. Then when the clock strikes 4pm, I will start with my Hive Blockchain activities. In this manner, I have taken away this crushing deadline.

This is a new schedule change for me so I am working on the implementation today and should have it completely working by tomorrow. I will try it for the next 30 days and measure my results to see if this will be enough to bump up productivity and profits overall.

This should free up most of my weekends so I can focus on content creation for the rest of the following week.

Speaking of Hive Engine I have set up a Witness Server in Japan and would like your support. It is really easy just click the link below and vote for @chris.witness Thank you.

Giving EXXP Another Shot

Giving EXXP Another Shot

A few weeks ago @blainjones gave me the advice to use EXXP plugin with my WordPress blog for a bit of automation. In case you do not know for a 15% fee on your author rewards, the plug-in will take a newly published article and publish it to your hive account.

Of course, this sounds great almost too good to be true. I had some bad luck just getting the plugin to work. Bad software? No, not yet, I go to the Exxp discord and there have not been any responses for a couple of days. Now I am concerned.

Talk About Bad Luck

Starting out we had some bad luck. Checked the EXXP Discord a few days later, and it turns the person running the program was stuck out of town and was unable to get back to anyone. The problem was fixed and EXXP was up and running again.

You would have thought that I would have been up and running in no time. No, not me I have to overcomplicate things by trying to do them an easier way. I use a WP editing Theme and plugin called Divi. This did not agree with EXXP. I had the fun job of removing Divi from my blog and removing the extra building code placed there by the Divi builder.

This Article Is Posted From WP to Hive Via Exxp

There is going to be a learning curve. I will have questions along the way. Naturally, I will make some mistakes. For example, I might have two featured images if I do not set the post properly. Not really having a clear idea of how the post will look in HIve can be a bit of a challenge. We all want our posts to look nice.

Overall not a bad experience. The best part is I do not have to deal with MarkDown language. In WP it is just straight CSS and HTML, so that makes it about 50% faster for me to put a post in WordPress than using a Hive Engine front end.

Let me know in the comments if you would like a step-by-step tutorial, on using EXXP with your WordPress Blog.

It’s All About The Summoners!

It’s All About The Summoners!

Mylor Crowling
My Favorite Summoner

When playing Splinterlands I noticed the summoners have a lot to do with how well the rest of my cards battle against the opponent. In the Earth Splinter Mylor Crowling has the gift of thorns. This is like extra damage being done to enemy monsters.

There are other Summoners that can give you extra life, extra magic damage, extra shield, etc…

The interesting thing about leveling up cards is that if you do not have a leveled up summoner then you will not be able to play your leveled up cards. If you have leveled-up cards you can’t play, fear not because you can always rent them out.

I Prefer Doing Extra Damage

In the Earth Splinter I like using the Nectar Queen out Front whenever Mana limits will allow, Minotaur Warrior in the second position, and a sneak in the third position. The rest depends on mana and what I think I may be up against. I do like to use the Venari Seedsmith as the Scavenge ability can give this card tank-like life.

I do think the speed and success of the thorns depend wildly on your monster’s speed versus your opponent’s monster speed. There are a lot of little things that come into play when pairing your monster’s abilities with your Summoner’s abilities.

Chaos Legion Pack Opening Day Is Almost Here

Currently, I paused all card buying. With the chaos legion pack opening day so close I think my next card purchases or rentals will depend on what I get in the packs. This being said I am still trying to learn all that I can about the cards, and where they play best.

The gameplay will be my ultimate teacher. There is real money to be made here at Splinterlands. I mean a full-time modern income. No, I have not yet reached that point, in fact, I am a long way off. I do know that the income potential is there. By playing the game I will learn over time, where the real value is at. Currently, I think it is in the accumulation, then the power-up, and finally the renting out of the cards.

Thank you so very much for reading.

I Am Truly My Own Worst Enemy

I Am Truly My Own Worst Enemy

Ever give yourself a break. Allow something to pass you by because you have issues. I sure have. I have a lot of issues and lots of times I allow these to become excuses allowing myself to become less than my best.

We all admire a hero. That person that shows up every day no matter what to tow the line. They are often the first ones to volenteer for a hard job. When thses heroes decide to become self employed the world is their oyster and success is their birth right.

RIGHT?! Nope! Wrong!!

Success is for every one, but it is not our right. Success is our priveledge that we can enjoy once we have completed our goals. I was a Marine for 16 years. One might say success is garanteed to me, but quite the opposite. My military career has left me with some health issues, and some mental health issues. Which is doubled because I was born with a wierd brain abnormality call Bi-polar syndrome. For a nice cherry on top I have Non-Hodkins Lymphomia Stage 2 since 2011 Basically in a nutshell my brain does not produce enough bio-chemicals to even my mood out. I either love something or I hate it. I am either deleriously happy or suicidally depressed. I have no middle roads. With The cancer my white blood cells will some times over produce starving my brain of oxygen.

I can either let this be an excuse as to why I am a big failure or inspite of my short comings I still succeeded. Those are my only two choices. I could very easily by the State of California’s definition collect disability. The State of California has declared me disabled, and is willing to pay me to sit on the sofa all day watching Netflix.

I Would Rather Die

I know those are very extreme words and we really need to be more kind to ourselves. We need to be aware of what excuses we will try, to get out of things we find uncomfortable and maybe even a bit difficult. For myself I need to treat myself a bit better with some understanding that I will try to weasel out of something I find difficult or unpleasant.

Nobody likes going to the Dentist. Just thinking of the sound the drill makes gives me the willies. It is something that we all have to do in our lives sooner or later. The more we procrastinate going the worse the visit will be. Knowing myself and the excuses I will use, requires a bit of firm love.

Firm vs. Tough

We have all heard the cliche, “That Person Needs Some Tough Love” This is easy from the outside in. We see a person that is trying to use our resources for their crutch. Tough love is the refusal of the resources hoping that the sheer need may inspire their success.

When we try this on ourselves we create a pattern of fighting against ourselves. When I wake up completely sore in the morning with my head pounding mercilessly. There are things that need to be down in order to stop the pain and discomfort.

With the Tough Love approach I may feel inclined to berate myself into some semblance of productivity. This will create a hostile work environment, and I quickly become no fun to be around. Yes I will get things done however it won’t be in a friendly helpful manner. Also I am risking working myself into a state of bed rest or even worse hospitalization. I do not want to be my own boss that I hate and yet that is exactly what would happen with this approach.

If I am just Firm with myself understanding that because I do not feel well is not an excuse to get out of the days work. I must manage the headache before it becomes a bed rest situation.

This starts with medication and about 20 ounces of distilled water, some yoga stretches, and a bit of a short walk. Topped off with a hot shower. After all of that I am okay to be productive but I just lost 90 minutes because I woke up a bit ill and distressed.

No Excuses!!

If I am to be completely honest with you, too often I allow excuses to stop my forward progression. In this way I am really my own worst enemy. I would always have excuses like no time, no money, but the big one is I do not feel well. Often people think the I do not feel well would be the easiest excuse to remove but it is really the hardest.

With the no money excuse we can always make more money, it may take a bit more time but making more money is not impossible. The no time excuse is even easier because we all do frivilous activities througout our day that we can weed out and pick up an extra couple of hours per day.

When you have Cancer and Mental Illness now we have a winning combination for a real excuse machine. My Coach “Hey Chris How Are You Today?” Me “Feeling poorly need to take the day and recover.” My Coach “Shake it off there is a lot to do today” Me “Nope got cancer need to rest talk to you tomorrow.” My Coach is speechless and recommends if I feel that bad I should see my doctor.

By playing the cancer card, I gave myself an excuse a reason not to succeed. In this way I have become my own worst enemy. The sad horrible thing about this is, I was unaware of not only what I was doing but of the future that I was creating.

This article has gotten a bit longer than I would have liked. The main points I want to drive home is please do not make my mistake. I let some of my issues become real barriers to my success. What we do and do not do today will determine our tomorrow. Believe it or not your future is completely under your control.

Thank you so very much!!

My Recent Oops With A Community Leader

My Recent Oops With A Community Leader

We All Make Mistakes But…

This one was completely avoidable. I am not talking about hindsight being 20/20. This mistake was avoidable because all I had to do was keep up with replies to my comments. Three days ago, last Sunday, I made a comment on @jongolson post The Sunday Night SportsNerd Show in the Sports Talk Social community. I asked an innocent question “Do you guys cover Hockey?” Not a strange question if taken at face value.

When you factor in I asked Jon the exact same question the week before.

You Did What?!

That is correct I asked the same question the week prior. There are a lot of reasons why this happened, but at CTP we practice the fine art of no excuses #noexcuses I say this because no matter how crazy things get if I just extended the courtesy of answering the replies to my comments in a timely fashion just as I do with the comments on my posts.

Yes, there are things that happened but I let them become an obstacle, rather than prevent them from being an obstacle. Do not worry I am not talking about any new-age hokum. I am just saying that on any given day nothing stops me from packing my orders on time. Nothing stops me from getting my items posted, or doing daily inventory to prevent overselling.

Nothing Stops Me From Reselling

Isn’t that an interesting little fact? Nothing becomes an obstacle in my reselling business, because reselling is what I do every day. My reselling daily mode of operation will not allow anything to take priority over listing items, and then fulfilling the orders.

As I write that it occurs to me that my shortcomings on Hive Engine and in the area of affiliate marketing fall completely on my shoulders. Everything worth doing will have a learning curve.

All I have to do is assign the same level of urgency to both my affiliate marketing and Hive-based businesses. This will have to happen before I experience the same level of success.

Jon Is A Real Good Guy, No Need To Panic

Nobody likes embarrassing situations but it helps when the person involved knows you well enough to give you the benefit of the doubt. Of course, Jon was real cool about it, because I have been telling anyone that would listen how busy I was with the San Diego Comic-Con.

Please do not make the same mistake that I have made and be sure to answer your comments and replies daily.

I Am Not Distracted By Hive Swells

I Am Not Distracted By Hive Swells

All of the excitement over the recent bumps in price that Hive Token has been experiencing is not going to distract me from my original goals. For the sake of this discussion let’s say that the current price of Hive is $3. For a lot of people that have been here for the last few years, I understand the excitement. For the rest of us, we have a long way to go before these numbers should have us saying woohoo.

I say this is just the beginning because as more Dapps are developed on this blockchain the more value it will be worth. The more Hive I have powered up, the more things I can do on hive. Also the more Hive I have powered up the more my votes will be worth. The more my votes are worth, not only will people want my votes, but I will also be paid more for curation activities.

Goal #1 Become A Hive Dolphin

Above we spoke about the more Hive my account has powered up the better.  My First goal is to reach 5,000 Hive Power. I know this is a big goal especially if Hive is at $3 a token that is $1,500. My plan has the goal broken into 500HP increments to make the goal more achievable. Both of my accounts have a way to go before reaching that first 10th of the goal.

Hive Engine Tokens Compete With Hive Tokens

This is an interesting phenomenon because we get rewarded in Hive, and Hive Engine tokens like CTP and 1UP for our activities on this amazing blockchain. If you are like me and play a game on Hive like Splinterlands, then you have yet another thing to spend your hard-earned Hive on. The different Hive Communities have their power-up challenges for their tokens as well.

How Will I Ever Make My Goal

It is all too easy to become overwhelmed and panic. Do not panic. There is a lot of opportunities to earn here on Hive. @taskmaster4450 has advised me through the podcast CryptoManiacs, to build a base of Hive before trying to accumulate the Hive engine tokens. That is sound advice. Hive is the governing token for the entire blockchain. This is where I made my mistake.

I Was Not Consistent

I was all over the place. Instead of accumulating 5,000 Hive Power, I accumulated a bit of Hive and then tried accumulating all of the other Hive Engine tokens. Every time someone suggested we buy and hold a token I jumped on it. Then I became frustrated, depressed, and I dropped off for a few months.

I have learned that Hive and all of its communities are not different from the real world. Success demands consistent daily action. Going forward I will concentrate my effort on accumulating, and powering up #Hive #CTP #oneup tokens to be more successful on Hive.

Again I can not be distracted by the fluctuating prices of Hive and Hive Engine Tokens. When Hive goes up I can buy more CTP and 1UP, when Hive goes down I can buy more Hive. Trying to leverage the price fluctuations in my favor is beneficial financially, but is not the focus because I am not buying for today or tomorrow, but five years from now.

My Experience With Hive Community Tags

My Experience With Hive Community Tags

Ever Wonder Why So Many Tags?

What Makes Hive interesting is all of the communities that have chosen the Hive Blockchain as their home.  We also enjoy the ability to send tokens to each other free of charge. Not a lot of Blockchains can make that claim.

Every tag we use on Hive for example #ctp #Leofinance #pob represents communities. Those communities have content rules for posting. CTP is the token used by communities like CTPTalk and CTPSwarm. LEO is the token used by the LeoFinance community. POB is the token used by the Proof of Brain community.

CTPTalk & CTPSwarm

CTPTalk is a great front end to use especially if you are a part of the CTPSwarm community. I am using it to post this post. CTP is an initialization for Click Track Profit, the 3 actions of every online marketer. The rules for this community are very simple. Share your business-building journey. Article about music, cooking, hiking, exercising in your neighborhood should not be using the #ctp tag, unless they are directly related to your business building journey.

Never use the #leofinance tag unless your post is addressing a financial issue, like tokenomics, your current crypto APR, Your goal for amazing and powering up crypto. i would not even put a good Splinterlands article here unless you are talking about financing your game ambitions.

POB Proof Of Brain

Proof of Brain community has a more general requirement. The only qualification your post must have is proof that you have a brain. If you think your post meets that requirement then please use the #pob tag.

Unlike other places on the net, here on the Hive Blockchain you can earn just by engaging in your passion. There is a community here for everyone. Some of us feel compelled to be active in more than one community.

For a complete list of communities please click the link below:

Hive Communities

Once you navigate to the communities page, you will be able to choose which communities you would like to participate in.

This will take a little research and please ask as many questions as you can. I am surprised at no matter how basic my questions are there is always an experienced Hive member willing to share an answer with a smile.

I hope this sheds a little light on proper tagging in Hive, if you are unsure about a tag please refer to the community home page.  I would hate to see anyone banned from a community because of tag abuse.

Thank you and have a productive and prosperous week.

How I Epically Failed The CTP Content 30 Day Challenge

How I Epically Failed The CTP Content 30 Day Challenge

Failed 3 Times

Have you ever tried something over and over again failing repeatedly? It can get pretty darn discouraging. I have never completed a 30 day challenge. This was I almost did not enter. The rules were simple write an article and tag it #ctpcontent post it daily before midnight GMT, which is 4 pm my time PST. Every single day for 30 days, and if you miss a day you have to start all over at 1.

This sounds too easy, how hard is it to write 1 article a day for 30 days. We are supposed to create content daily. On the website you can see all the people that have already completed it. I failed three times. This rings in my head constantly since a few days ago.

The First Time I Failed

As a reseller I am not really accustomed to working with deadlines. Yes I have to pack and ship my orders timely but that does not take any real effort or creativity, you can almost turn your brain off. The first time I failed simply because I did not manage my time very well and the day just got away from me.

The Second Time I Failed

After the first time I was embarrassed and thought what could I do so I would not fail again. Better time management but more specifically, I needed to be more productive. I scheduled a bit of time at the end of the day and started writing articles ahead of time so I would always be 4 to 5 articles ahead. Honestly I thought I had the problem solved and then 1 day was caught in traffic did not make it home in time to post before 4pm.

The Third & Last Time I Failed

I know what you are thinking… just because I failed three times is no reason not to try a fourth. That is funny because unlike some other challenges that are never ending & eternal, this content challenge had an expiration date, just like a dairy product, November 30th. If you can’t complete the challenge before Nov 30th you are out. It was my going to be my 29th consecutive post.

Where I went wrong was simple I misunderstood some friendly advice, & at the same time I refused to take advice from those that have already completed the challenge. Taskmaster answered my question “How can I earn more on Hive?” with “Make videos and play Exode”

So I started making daily videos on 3Speak and stopped writing articles. I had some close calls with 3Speak and my video submissions, and this is where my system broke down. I was given this advice by several people. Now that your articles are written, schedule them to post at the same time every day. I was not familiar with post scheduling so I did not even look into it.

All Of That Work And No Prize?!

Even though I lost the challenge I walked away with some nice prizes. 1st I bombed out last Wednesday right before the CTP Inner Circle meeting, and Eliana gave me a Splinterlands NFT for my efforts. Blain gave me some great advice. “Next Time have some articles prewritten, to use in case something should go wrong with the video production. ”

Also, the post I did post that day did really well with upvotes, 59 Hive which for me is amazing. developing a daily content creation habit is a prize in itself.

The advice I misunderstood from TaskMaster was not to make videos but stop writing articles. His advice was trying to direct me to make videos in addition to the articles I am writing.

Going forward this is my plan. Continue daily content creation, but this time create the content on my blog first, ahead of time, using WordPress will schedule the post for future publication. Using Exxp plugin I will have the post transferred to Hive.

This balance of working ahead and automation will be a key factor for my future successes.
